With a combination of seating plans, the space is welcoming to small and larger groups with direct access to the bar for food and beverage ordering and the rooftop patio. Famous for hosting celebrations for graduate students who have successfully defended their thesis, the Defense Room is a semi-private space next to the main dining hall with a large heritage dining table and adjacent seating for additional guests. The room can be reconfigured to host social events, meetings, and group dining events. The room features dynamic views of east campus, original marble tile work sourced from campus, and audio video support.

An open and bright space west of the main dining hall overlooking the rooftop patio, the Grad Lounge area features dining tables and chairs, a 50” HD TV with fireplace, and open space for up to 30 people. The Grad Lounge is the perfect space for an open social, meet and greet, or networking event. Paired with quality food selections and full beverage menu, the Grad Lounge is a natural fit for your next event. Available for group reservations at no cost.
